My Shuswap Connection

My roots run deep in the Shuswap.

Google Earth is amazing, and you feel like you can know a place quickly…But nothing beats having footprints in all the corners! I’ve hiked Mt. Ida, waterskied on Shuswap Lake, hopped on my bike and cruised to Fletcher Park, and driven every street and back road. I went to school and graduated here, had my first job at the Shuswap Bakery, and watched many a movie at the Salmar Theater. The changes our area has undergone are countless. Such changes include: my elementary school, North Broadview Elementary, is now situated at the Historical R.J. Haney Heritage Park; Shuswap Bakery is now an engineering company, and the Salmar Theater is now one of two theatres in town and called the Salmar Classic.

What has never changed is the beauty, charm, and friendliness of this community. It is the community I love, grew up in, and have had the privilege of raising my two sons in. What makes the Shuswap important to me? Having a peaceful space to live, enjoying what I do while maintaining a balance of work and leisure, and being around those I love... Living here makes all of this possible.

My mission is simple: I value integrity, relationships, and understanding as the foundational pillars of my life, and I aim to apply these priorities to every aspect of my work as your Real Estate agent.

Why Work With Me?

Since 2007, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients buying and selling properties, and have gained incredibly rewarding experience from each connection along the way. These partnerships have given me the opportunity to meet some truly wonderful people, many of whom have since become neighbours and friends.

In order to continually serve my clients with the best possible skill set, I believe in the importance of lifelong learning, and am constantly looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. In addition to placing significant value on relationships, I also view education with the utmost of importance. In 2002, I received my Bachelor of Arts Associate’s Degree from Okanagan College, in 2007 I completed my Real Estate Licensing Course from University of British Columbia, and from 2008 to 2010 I served as Co-Chairman of the Shuswap Zone for the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board. I actively remain up-to-date in the Real Estate industry by participating in a variety of seminars, courses and educational initiatives, as well as serving as a Director of the Shuswap Zone for the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board. I also write a monthly blog to provide additional insight for my clients and colleagues on what is currently trending in Real Estate and our community. I constantly strive to be the best version of myself in order to most effectively serve my clients and community.

In addition to maintaining exceptional client service, I also strongly believe in giving back to my community by donating to various local charities throughout the Shuswap.

What my clients are saying

Sandra is an absolutely outstanding realtor.
When we moved to the Shuswap area five years ago, Sandra went well over the above and beyond to find us our new home. At the time, we seemed to hit obstacle after obstacle, but Sandra was patient with us and negotiated us through the close on our beautiful and perfect home.

Now as we leave Blind Bay, Sandra listed our house and, although the market was facing a difficult time with the upswing of the Corona19 virus, and buyers were extremely scared, she had the house sold over the internet within a week.

Sandra is exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and resourceful, and I do not hesitate to recommend her 100%!

When we decided on Salmon Arm as our first choice of retirement location, we were faced with a need to find a realtor who could operate “at a distance’, to help us find a home. Word of mouth brought us to contact Sandra and we were very happy with the result. She is patient, personable and insightful about peoples’ need when looking to relocate. She also (thankfully) has a good sense of humour. Although it took time for us to look through the possibilities and find the house we wanted, Sandra stayed with us and was always very helpful.

Sandra will be our first choice for any future real estate needs. Her recommendations and advice on the local area have been hugely helpful – as was her negotiating skills in helping us find out new home.

Thank you Sandra!

Wow, I don’t know where to start,

My wife and I embarked on our maiden voyage to find our forever dream home and landed on the small quaint community of
Sorrento/Shuswap BC. In spite of the daily hustle and bustle of the city, everyone deserves to take a pause. While each has coping mechanisms to relieve stress and practice self-care, to be one with nature is the most striking feeling and experience.

Since we are both from the nonstop city of Vancouver the next chapter in both of our lives was prioritizing slowing down.
With Sandra’s guidance, she truly made our dreams become a reality not so far away.

From Sandra’s pleasant non rushed demeanor to her genuine sincerity, honesty, and the time she committed to us over Easter long weekend will hold merit to us for years to come.

From the bottom of our hearts, YOU made this happen. The results are in.....#1 Realtor in Shuswap.

I would recommend Sandra Kentel, I've had an outstanding experience with her buying and selling real estate.
I especially appreciated how she accommodated my odd work hours and only scheduled appointments around my sleep schedule.

I’m already looking forward to my next real estate transaction with Sandra working out all the details, you won’t find a more pleasant or professional person to work with for your real estate experience.
